Financial Year 2011: SECP registers 3,400 companies

The total corporate portfolio, reached an all-time high of 59,451 companies.

ISLAMABAD:


The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered 3,400 companies during the financial year 2010-2011 compared with 3,041 companies registered in the preceding year, a 12 per cent increase, according to a statement published by SECP on Friday.

The total corporate portfolio, reached an all-time high of 59,451 companies. The highest number of incorporations took place in the trading sector.
