Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing cleared that the coronavirus crisis would not hinder the economic cooperation between China and Pakistan.
Govt clarifies no suspension of flight operations to China
Whilst speaking at a seminar in Islamabad, he thanked the Pakistani government and people for displaying solidarity with the Chinese state.
The envoy added that after six years of success, the Belt and Road initiative has established CPEC - and other corridors under BRI - as projects of international cooperation.
He said that CPEC is one of the prime examples of BRI providing credible and tangible benefits to the beneficiary's country.

The Chinese ambassador said looking at CPEC in the context of historic China and Pakistan relations, it is apparent that it has provided new focus and new opportunities on the economic front.
