Among the countless people standing in solidarity with Kashmir were a number of Pakistani celebrities as well, who made sure to extend their full support to the Muslim-majority region.
"Rest assured that we Pakistanis have not forgotten you and will stand resolute by your side #StandWithKashmir #KashmirSolidarity," wrote actor Mehwish Hayat, adding how it's been six months since Kashmir has been under lock down.

Hamza Ali Abbasi also penned a heartfelt prayer for Kashmir writing, "May Allah allow me to live to see that day when the fate of Kashmir is determined according to the wishes of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters."
