NASEERABAD:
Naseerabad Deputy Commissioner Zafar Ali on Tuesday directed the district authorities to ensure provision of health facilities and remove all bottlenecks thereof.

The provincial government is taking measures to provide medical facilities to the people so that they can live healthy lives, the DC said, advising the staff working at Civil Hospital, HRCs and BHUs to improvise their services and perform their duties diligently.

The deputy commissioner expressed the thoughts while addressing the monthly meeting of the public health committee in which district health officer (DHO) Abdul Manan, medical superintendent Dr Ayaz Hussain Jamali, PPHI coordination Faisal Iqbal, tehsildar Bahadur Khan Khosa and Akhtar Mangi also participated.

He warned that the government will not tolerate any compromise over the health of the people and doctors and paramedics exhibiting negligence will see disciplinary action, including warning notices and salary cuts for the absentees.

He called upon medical practitioners and health professionals to improve their performance and desist from showing sluggishness.

DHO Abdul Manan presented a detailed briefing on action against absent medical practitioners and other staff. DC Naseerabad reiterated that the government will not tolerate any negligence or compromise and considered provision of health facilities for the citizens as the basic responsibility of the government.
