The wildly popular drama serial Meray Paas Tum Ho ended more than a week ago, leaving fans dismayed at the finale.
Other than the protagonist Danish dying and Mehwish's ultimate destitute end, one other thing left fans confused - Shehwar and Maham's seemingly incomplete, 'open-ended' story line.
Now, a local publication has revealed that the team had, infact, filmed an alternate ending for Shehwar and Maham but chose to cut it out to avoid criticism.
In the final episode, we see Shehwar expressing guilt for his actions, telling his wife, who still harbours a soft spot for him, that he doesn't deserve forgiveness. She tells him she might seek separation if he walks out, and he walks out. We never find out what happens next.
According to a source, they had actually filmed a scene where Maham forgives Shehwar, which ofcourse wouldn't have gone down well with some audiences given that Mehwish never gets her forgiveness.
The aforementioned scene was removed after a team discussion, which led to a mutual consensus that the scene should be left out, keeping their end open.
Well, it definitely makes sense but also seems unfair to the other characters. Guess we have to live with what we got so be it!
