To enhance user experience TikTok is revamping the user profile to make it more like Instagram, the new profile shifts avatars and follow count to the left while highlighting user bios.
The redesigning was first spotted by Taylor Lorenz, New York Times reporter;

“We’re always looking for ways to improve the user experience on TikTok. We are currently testing profile designs and functionality to ultimately give users more ways to personalise and engage with their profiles,” TikTok spokesperson confirmed the company was testing a redesign to The Verge.
This is not the first time social media platforms have copied each other, Facebook-owned Instagram has been testing out a new feature called Reels which is a video tool that allows users to create a 15-second long video with music that can be easily uploaded on their stories.
The video platform has become an internet sensation with more and more people signing up for the app.
Last year TikTok dethroned Facebook to become the second most downloaded app in the world behind WhatsApp.
