QUETTA: Provincial minister for finance Zahoor Ahmed Buledi on Monday slammed the Indian forces for violating the UN resolution on Kashmir and condemned the international community’s silence over rights abuses in the occupied valley, adding that questions were being raised over United Nations’ peace efforts.

In a statement issued in relation to the Kashmir Day, Buledi said despite the Indian government imposing lock down in the occupied valley since August, the UN did not intervene and was turning its back on the Kashmiris.

“We as a nation are celebrating the Kashmir Day to raise its cause globally as the fascist Modi regime continues to intensify its brutalities in Kashmir,” Buledi said.

“The Muslim Ummah has serious concerns over UN and international community’s silence despite atrocities committed against the Kashmiri people,” he added.
