The singer, who has just released his debut solo album Walls, said in an exclusive interview with The Sun that a reunion with Zayn was not on the cards currently.
When asked if he thinks Zayn had been disrespectful to them by labeling the band's music 'generic', Louis simply said, "Yeah, I do." However, the singing sensation has his reasons to feel so. "I can understand it. We have a lot of situations where we’re sat in interviews and if you’re in a certain mood you might run your mouth," he said.

"The older you get the more you can tell if these things actually carry any malice or if they’re just a prod in the back. That’s life, innit? Sometimes people chat s**t and that’s the reality," continued Louis, who also shed light on the relationship they share these days.
He also went on to say how he might just take a step to mend their friendship, but we can't expect that to happen right away. "I’ve not actively tried. We’ve all got a lot on our plates and there might be a day where I wake up and think: ‘OK, I want to right that wrong’, but not yet," said Louis.

Interestingly, many of the other connections he made while being a part of the band seem to have stood the test of time, in what ever capacity. "If we all went to a pub tomorrow it’d be like we’d never left. The enormity of what happened in One Direction creates a massive bond and we’ll always have that," he said about his former band mates.
Zayn and Louis have shared a specially turbulent relationship since the former decided to branch away from the band back in 2015. Here's hoping the two find a way to mend their friendship as well as their fans' hearts.
