PFA, IUB organize health camp to contain hepatitis

An awareness walk was held inside the campus

BAHAWALPUR: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) in collaboration with the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) arranged awareness camp on the "Prevention and Management of Hepatitis" for students on Friday.

PFA Director General (DG) Irfan Memon and IUB Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Ather Mahboob inaugurated the camp and visited its different sections.

An awareness walk was held inside the campus in which faculty members, PFA officials and a large number of students participated alongside the IUB VC and the PFA DG.

A 30-member team of PFA nutrition experts provided free consultancy to visitors about the role of food in the prevention and management of hepatitis.

Diet charts, booklets, pamphlets and directive sheets were also distributed among the visitors.

Dr Arsalan Jameel Raja gave a briefing on the role of diet in the prevention of hepatitis.
