District Jail: Mason caught smuggling in cell phone

Sadar police station guards spotted Ashraf trying to hide the cell phone in his pockets and apprehended him.

MULTAN: Police officials arrested a mason on charges of trying to take a cell phone into the district jail in violation of rules. According to police officials, Imran Ashraf, who worked as a mason inside the district jail was caught trying to sneak a cell phone in for one of the prisoners on Thursday afternoon.  Sadar police station guards spotted Ashraf trying to hide the cell phone in his pockets and apprehended him. Upon interrogation, Ashraf admitted that he had been paid a sum of money to sneak in a phone to one of the prisoners in the jail. An FIR has been registered against the mason on the report of the district superintendent and police are investigating.
