In a statement, he said reforms will be introduced in the education sector to produce skilled, energetic and hardworking youth in society.
“A roadmap has been prepared for the development of education sector and the government is working to ensure new techniques are employed to eliminate deprivation of the province,” the minister said.
“All possible measures would be taken for the development of the province and provision of basic facilities including education and health to the people,” he added.
Rind said all available resources were being utilised to improve quality of education and build up the sector on modern lines.
“Balochistan government has initiated measures for restructuring the existing service rules of administrative employees of the education department in the province,” he added.
The minister said that timely completion of ongoing and incomplete schemes will be ensured, adding that the government would provide every facility to all educational institutions in Balochistan.
‘Balochistan government is making a plan to revamp the provincial education department in a bid to make it more modern and professional,” he added.
Rind said that the ongoing work on all the projects supported by international organisations should be accelerated.
The provincial minister said that with the cooperation of experts, the government would ensure educational development in the entire province.
“All resources will be utilised to enroll maximum number of children in schools and provide them modern facilities,” he vowed.
Earlier, the newly sworn in Balochistan Secondary Education Minister urged National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to embark action against corruption cases in the province vowing to ensure merit in the education department.
Addressing a news conference, the minister announced action against ghost teachers and employees.
“My first priority will be to identify ghost teachers and employees harming public exchequer and force the recovery of the amount,” said Rind.
Expressing reservations over NAB’s slow actions in Balochistan Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind said, unfortunately NAB’s processing was too prolonged when the watchdog probes corruption in Balochistan.
“The anti-corruption watchdog has commenced actions against corrupt mafia in other three provinces but has not taken any action against corruption in Balochistan,” he said.
Rind said complete coordination with media would help eradicating corruption and irregularities in education department.
The minister also pledged major changes in education department’s affairs within two weeks added the new departmental policy would be unveiled in 14 days. (Additional input from APP)
