The high court has asked the chief minister of Sindh to process paperwork on appointing Deputy District Officers (DDOs) and Section Officers (SOs) in three days.
Chief Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar also ordered the Advocate General of Sindh to submit a report within 15 days.
The bench heard the petitioner’s counsel who maintained that they were recommended by the Sindh Public Service Commission. The appointment of 43 DDOs and 64 Section Officers was awaiting the CM’s signature. It has been seven months but they have not been offered the jobs.
On Thursday, the Secretary for Services said that the CM’s approval was awaited.
