Eradicating corruption

SIALKOT: A PPP senator was accused by a TV anchor of living in a five-star hotel in Rawalpindi for the past 15 months, all allegedly paid for by a state-owned organisation. The senator foamed, banged the table and asked the anchor to apologise, threatening to take him to court. Instead of doing that, he then proceeded to give a clean bill of health to two of the government’s largest white elephants — Pakistan Steel Mills and PIA. Perhaps the government should consider appointing the senator as the new head of NAB?
