Sarwat Gilani's 'shut up call' is all you need to read today

It took the actor a single post to put an end to the moral brigade

Entertainment Desk January 28, 2020

Actor Sarwat Gilani was recently bashed for a picture that went viral on social media, showing the celebrity having a moment of affection with her husband, Fahad Mirza, in Rome. The inevitability of hatred was possibly expected, as the duo ignored the haters that rallied to Twitter, cursing abuses at them for having 'crossed their limits'.

This was followed by questions and detailed discussion about whether the PDA between these consenting married adults was 'acceptable'. However, the couple was keen on uploading more pictures to their social media like they are not bothered - and why would they be?

But the moral brigade sparked, following which Gilani finally took to Instagram as she uploaded a screaming response (No literally, the caps-lock was on fire).

"To all the haters in this world! STOP FOLLOWING ME IF YOU HATE ME SO MUCH," said a not-so-calm Gilani. The actor had captioned a post that read, "This is who I am, nobody said you had to like it."

Her note went onto tackle the bullies who had so heartlessly slut-shammed her for sharing a moment of love with her husband. "You can’t bully me, I’m too bloody strong for your minute imagination! Grow up and get a life! Stop being so jealous of other people’s success, the love in their lives and the happiness they have because unlike you they have worked bloody hard for it," she said furiously.

Along with calling out the jealousy, small-mindedness, and moral dictatorship the celebrity also pointed out that their hate was unimportant for her.

"For someone who has faced the world and lasted this long...your perspective is very unimportant...you can’t bring me down, not even in your imagination! Just cause US Celebrities don’t say anything doesn’t mean you bullies have the right to say everything! It’s time for a much awaited SHUT UP CALL! with love, of course!" concluded the woman on fire.
