K-P Police conducts first ever grand police operation against anti-social elements in Landi Kotal

JAMRUD: Police on Saturday seized drugs and smuggled medicines in Landikotal during the first ever grand police operation against anti-social elements.

Landikotal police said that they sealed heroin factories, smuggled Indian medicines’ warehouses and seized huge cache of drugs and medicines. Several suspected drug peddlers were also arrested during the crackdown.

Speaking a press conference in Jamrud, DPO Muhammad Iqbal said that several targeted and information-based operations were carried out in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber district on Saturday.

Iqbal added said several kilograms of hashish, crystal methamphetamine commonly known ice and smuggled Indian medicines were recovered from heroin making factories warehouses, abandoned houses and shops in Jamrud area. Several suspected drug peddlers and smugglers were arrested during the raid and FIRs have been registered against them.

DPO Iqbal said “After the extension of the police force to the merged districts, we have zero tolerances towards drugs and smuggled Indian medicine and those who been associated with the illegal businesses should distance themselves or they would be made an example”.
