The Supreme Court (SC) rejected former PML-N MPA Rizwan Gill’s petition challenging his disqualification by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday.

The case was heard by a three-member bench chaired by Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, who ordered the Election Commission to register a criminal case against Gill.

Rizwan Gill got elected from PP-34 constituency of Sargodha.

He got disqualified after opposing candidate Nazia Aziz challenged his election in the LHC, on the basis that his educational degree is fake.
