The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), a coalition partner of the PPP-led government, has called for the bifurcation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) to create a new Hazara province.
“We will soon meet the president and the prime minister to seek the formation of a commission to bring all stakeholders on board and to remove obstacles, if any,” PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujat Hussain told a delegation of his party members from K-P on Wednesday. Amir Muqam, President of the K-P chapter of PML-Q was heading the delegation.
He told The Express Tribune that the delegation reminded Shujaat Hussain and his cousin Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi their promise to the people of Hazara. He said that before joining the government, the PMLQ leadership had announced support for the creation of Hazara and Saraiki provinces.
Muqam, who was initially against splitting up K-P, said the new name of the province had created rifts based on linguistic identities.
The PML-Q believes that by supporting the renaming of the NWFP as K-P, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) suffered a serious political setback in Hazara division. “By supporting the movement for a Hazara province, it can cash in on the reduced support for PML-N,” he added.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Shujaat said the PML-Q and PPP have agreed to make Hazara a
new province and for this purpose, the Awami National Party will also be taken on board.

Chaudhry Zahoor Elashi, belong to Nat, a small village near Gujrat. His father was respected locally as an effective river bandit, who earned his living by recycling stolen goods. Zahoor Elashi began his adult life as a police constable in British India. In 1943, Zahoor Elahi was posted to the sikh holy city of Amritsar. One day he was in the police station when he heard that a local hindu tradesman will be raided. Zahoor Elahi visited the trader and informed him of the raid. When the raid took place, the police found nothing. An investigation was launched, the treachery was discovered and he was sacked. The businessman was grateful to give money to both the brothers. After the partitiion, both the brothers came to the village. One day Zahoor Elahi went to the Rehabilitation and Compensation office and demanded that they be recommpensated for what they had lost (in reality very little), he exaggerated the claim. He was not only the booty politician in the country. Ethics were unnecessary for him.

Splitting Pakhtunkhwa will come at a high cost to Punjab and Sind. Pashtuns by grace of God inhabit every part of the country and form a 50% of Balochistan indigenous population. The campaign of disenfranchising of pashtuns in the first two decades of the creation of Pakistan, followed by eliminating them through religious extremism by using them as a War fodder by a hypocrite like Zia, and finally destroying their Schools through the paid rouge elements and lastly striking at their integrity. PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujat Hussain is a fake leader with his constituency limited to a portion of Punjab. He wants to harm the State of Pakistan by his dim-witted acts. His suggestion will not be easily absorbed by Pashtuns from Chitral to Balan. He should not spark civil war in Pakistan. He should try to put off the flames in which Pakistan in general and Pashtuns in particular are burning. He should also realize that the flames of two Pashtun tribes could not be extinguished by the whole defense apparatus of Pakistan, he should not open new theatres for the armed forces of Pakistan. Wars between states are rare. It is the internal threat which is consuming nations. While world over leadership is trying to overcome internal strife and civil wars, our inept leadership is trying to promote it. This demagogue appears to be naive to the very idea. .
