DI KHAN: As many as nine people were injured when both parties during a Jirga meeting opened firing on each other on Sunday in Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan). Police said the first incident occurred during a Jirga meeting held at the Haq Nawaz Park to settle a dispute between two parties.
Confrontation developed between the parties which turned into fight. An infuriated member of one of the party reportedly resorted to firing as result of which two persons were injured. The injured were taken to DHQ Hospital. Police said the second incident took place in Zhob Ada area where seven people were injured when people of rival groups attacked each other.
