According to Variety, season 3 will consist of 10 episodes and can be expected to premier in 2021. Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti will be reprising their roles as Joe and Love, however no other cast member has been announced yet.
Based on the books You and Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes, the first two seasons generated heavy buzz on social media, with thousands of memes and posts being shared as the seasons progressed.

Now, with the announcement of the third season, fans have already started speculating what to expect from the show, given the intense cliff-hanger from last seasons finale (yeah, remember the neighbour?)
If you haven't watched the show yet, this is your spoiler warning - do not read further. Now, if you need a refresher, Love turns out to be just as crazy as Joe, murdering people to get what she wants, and finally, Joe has someone who is exactly like him. What's better, she's having his baby.
Happy ending, right? Wrong. Apparently Joe does not want someone like him. He seems to have a severe saviour complex, and Love isn't someone he can 'fix'. Cue, the neighbour.

Now, we have a few questions - as does Joe. Who is this person? With her books and her 'sunshine' as he puts it in the monologue he spews in the final scene. "So close, but worlds away. I will figure out a way. A way to get to you. See you soon, neighbor."

okay no joke y’all i have a theory on who this mystery neighbor is: it HAS to be joe’s mom bc a) we don’t know if she ever died and b) i doubt joe would cheat on love after ALL OF THAT. so now i ask your opinion, who do you think it is?
The mystery neighbour is not the only thing we're wondering about for season 3. Where's Ellie and what is Will up to? We see both of them sending postcards to Joe in the finale, so they may as well be a part of it too.
