Man commits suicide after shooting wife

KARACHI: A man shot his wife and then committed suicide at his in-laws' house in Gulistan-e-Johar on Monday following a domestic dispute.

The injured husband and wife, identified as Rana Hadi Mubarak, 28, and Kinza Ahmed, 26, succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

Police officials stated that the Mubarak and Ahmed were having a domestic dispute, as a result of which the husband had left his wife and children at her parents' house. The families were trying to resolve the issue on Monday when Hadi asked for permission to meet his wife. Upon getting permission, he went inside her room and shot her before shooting himself.

Police stated that they found a loaded 9mm pistol and an empty bullet shell from the place of incident.
