Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI F) Balochistan provincial leader Maulana Abdul Wassay on Monday said his party will remain steadfast in its movement against the ‘selected government’. He said the JUI-F had the capability to fight circumstances, adding that no compromise on the party’s position will be made against the government.

He was presiding over a meeting of JUI-F’s parliamentary members at the party’s provincial office at Chaman Housing Scheme in Quetta. The meeting endorsed the decisions taken by provincial leadership and also made several resolutions in light of the recommendations of JUI-F’s members of parliament. The decisions taken in the session will be sent in the form of a circular to all party offices and units.

Those who attended and addressed the meeting included provincial secretary general of JUI-F Maulana Syed Agha Mahmood Shah, Maulana Sarwar Musa Khel, Maulana Abdul Rahman Rafiq, Syed Fazal Agha, Maulana Khalid Waleed Saifi, Maulana Khursheed Ahmad, Dilawar Khan Kakar, Maulana Muhammad Siddiq Mengal, Haji Ghausullah Din, Mohammad Saigai, Mir Yaziz Aziz, Inayatullah, Haji Ainullah Shams, Hafiz Khalil Ahmad, Maulana Shamsuddin and Maulana Faizullah.

Wassay directed party leaders in Balochistan to organise training conventions to begin membership drive in the JUI-F. He said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl was a party for people from all walks of life.

“The incessant struggle of the party has dented the unconstitutional government that was imposed on the country,” he said, adding that the provincial leaders were waiting for further directions and strategy from the party central leadership.

He said that JUI-F will not tolerate any conspiracy of westernising the religious seminaries. “Madrassas and Pakistan are a part and parcel of each other,” he said, adding that not even the British could influence the autonomy and sanctity of the madrassas.

He said that the renowned ulema were introducing timely reforms with regards to education in the seminaries hence no interruption from the government will be tolerated.
