'John Wick 3' fans critical of 'Avengers: Endgame' win at the Critics' Choice Awards

Some thought that 'Avengers: Endgame' barely qualified as an action movie

Entertainment Desk January 13, 2020

The 25th Critics' Choice Awards wrapped up another major event in this year's award season calendar Sunday night, and brought some shockers with it.

Avengers:Endgame snagged the Best Action Movie trophy at the coveted ceremony, beating out 1917, John Wick 3, Ford v Ferrari and Spider-Man: Far From Home. While the win may have seemed well deserved to some, there is a particular group on Twitter who isn't so thrilled.

Fans of the John Wick franchise took to social media to criticise the choice of winner, with many pointing out that even 1917 would've been a better choice, reported Comicbook.

Some thought that Avengers: Endgame barely even qualified as an action movie.

One person was really surprised that Avengers won in the same year John Wick 3 was released.

Some even likened the critics' choice to 'clownery'.

To some, it seemed like a simple choice gone wrong.

Even Marvel fans chimed in, echoing John Wick  fans' views.

Well, what's done is done, and we can only hope John Wick 4 manages to escape the snubs when it comes out next year.
