Mahmood Khan says K-P govt focused on revenue generation

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood on Saturday said the concession and development agreements of Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ) have been closed and the work on the project would be initiated soon.

CM Mahmood said this while chairing a meeting of the public private partnership committee regarding approval of revised concession agreement for the economic zone.

The chief minister said the work the project will promote industrialisation and also create tremendous employment opportunities for the people of the province.  The provincial government is committed to provide a favourable environment to investors in the province for which multiple initiatives have been undertaken including strengthening of communication networks in the province and provision of cheap electricity to industrial consumers through wheeling of electricity, he added.

CM Mahmood further stated that the incumbent government is focused on revenue generation by exploiting the strategic location, natural resources and business friendly environment of the province.
