Pakistan’s prosperity

Letter January 10, 2020
It is about time we ended the fractures that separate us

TURBAT: It is better to be slapped with a truth rather than kissed with a lie. Too long we have lived in corruption and failures which had adversely affected our country’s progress and prosperity. Time has come for all of us to be the good we want to see in the country.

Truly, we all are equally responsible for inflation, corruption, greed and poverty. If we are not doing anything for the country’s development, then who are we to question Imran Khan? A country’s progress will improve when the masses and the leaders will work together as one entity. Abraham Lincoln once said that a house divided amongst itself cannot stand. This is what we are now, a divided house, being exploited by the corrupt and the greedy. It is about time the we ended the fractures that separate us and this can only be done by accepting and acknowledging someone with different opinions, ideals and belief so that we can move towards a singular and united goal.

I am sure that if the people unite we will make much progress in eradicating terrorism, robbery, money laundring and corruption which will spark the hope of bringing reforms in the country. A ship in a harbour is safe but that is not why ships are built.
