IO snubbed for submitting false report in LHC
Judge orders action to be taken against the IO over this misconduct
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered an inquiry against an Investigation Officer (IO) for allegedly submitting a false report before the court. The LHC judge heard the matter of the recovery of a woman named Muqadas Bibi.
As proceedings commenced, the judge expressed her displeasure over the conduct of the IO who submitted a false report in the court. The judge ordered the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) to take action and proceed against the IO over this misconduct.
DIG Rai Baber Hussain after recovering the woman, produced her before the court.
Muqadas Bibi said in her statement that no one abducted her. She asserted that she was working as a maid at a retired army officer’s house.
