QUETTA: A rally led by Naseerabad Deputy Commissioner Zafar Ali and Balochistan Awami Party district organizer Ghulam Umrani held to express solidarity with Kashmiris and condemned Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) passed by the Indian parliament.
The rally initiated from Deputy Commissioner’s office, said a press release issued here.
Naseerabad Assistant Commissioner Ghulam Bhangar, Tehseeldar Bahadur Khan, tribal leaders Abdul Raouf and Akbar Lashari, Secretary Aslam Laghari, Naseerabad Degree College principal, other officials and a large number of civil society members attended the rally.
The participants marched on different routes and gathered at the DC office. They held placards inscribed slogans supporting Kashmiris and denouncing India’s move on Occupied Kashmir.
‘India cannot silence Kashmiris by oppression, brutalities’
Addressing participants of the rally, the DC said, “Narendra Modi led the Indian government and its army employing efforts to suppress the voice of Kashmiris. However, the oppressed nation has foiled their policies hastening their struggle for freedom.”
He added that people of Occupied Kashmir have been deprived of basic facilities, including health, clean water, education, network and mobile services due to continues curfew in the valley for more than 150 days.
“International organisations should play their role to resolve Occupied Kashmir issue according to the charter of the United Nation because the solution is integral to maintain peace in the region,” said the DC.
