QUETTA: Provincial Minister for Industries and leader of ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Muhammad Khan Utmankhail has said that the opposition will fully support the Army Act for the security and defense of the country.

"We look at the army without any political affiliation and support them in every difficult situation,” he said in a statement on Monday.

The provincial minister said the matter of appointment of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) members will also be supported by all parties.

Commenting on the development work in Loralai, Utmankhail said, “Millions of rupees are being spent on education, health, clean water and farming projects in the district”.

He stated that he was endeavouring to establish Loralai as a separate division and that it would have its own commissioner.

He directed the officials to speed up development work in Loralai.

He negated the impression that the provincial government was not addressing the issues of people and maintained that the results of the development work would soon be visible.

"It is baseless propaganda of the opposition that the provincial government did not spend Rs50 billion and the federation had withdrawn the funds," he said.
