The sixth bilateral exercise between the Pakistan and Chinese naval forces began on Monday
Titled Sea Guardians 2020, the exercises boasts Chinese warships and fleet tanks as their marine forces participate as well.
Chief guest Deputy Commander of Chinese Navy's Southern Theater Command inaugurated the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Commander Pakistan fleet Vice Admiral Asif Khaliq said that the excercise will usher a new era of cooperation between navies of the two brotherly countries.
A spokesperson for the Pakistan Navy said that the exercise was aimed at an exchange of professional experiences against maritime threats and naval cooperation. He said it will play a role in the promotion of safe and stable maritime environment in the region.
