KARACHI: Science has played a significant role in making people's lives easier, said Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, the Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, while expressing hope that employing modern technology, endeavours could be made to facilitate the provision of education to disabled persons and to enhance their potential and talent.

Qamar expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Wonder Tree, a school for children with special needs.

He asked the delegates to work towards preparing software for imparting computer science education to disabled children, and added that the software may also be used for educating students in rural areas. The participants of the meeting agreed to undertake the endeavour and decided to first employ it at the school's Gulistan-e-Jauhar campus.
