PM launches 29 model police stations

CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor the performance of personnel

BHAKKAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated 29 model police stations online from Mianwali, following the pattern of model police stations in Bhakkar.

The opening ceremony of the ‘Special Initiatives Police Station Project’ was held in Saddar police station. Following the special initiative project, police stations of Bhakkar, Mianwali and 29 other districts have been upgraded as model police stations in the first phase. Punjab IGP briefed the PM about the work proceedings of model police stations.

As many as 29 model police stations have been set up across the province where CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor the performance of the personnel, the IGP said. A helpline has also been set up to register complaints, he added.
