Two polio cases detected in K-P

New cases have been reported one each from Lakki Marwat, Jaffarabad, Killa Abdullah, Mirpur Khas and Kambar ShehdadKot

PESHAWAR: As many as two new wild poliovirus cases have been reported from K-P, while three other cases were also reported from Sindh and Balochistan.

The new cases have been reported one each from Lakki Marwat, Jaffarabad, Killa Abdullah, Mirpur Khas and Kambar ShehdadKot. With the new case, the tally of polio cases for 2019 has soared to 128. In Lakki Marwat district, the NIH confirmed that an 18 month-old child has tested positive for the poliovirus.
