'Karachi's business community is safe because of the law enforcement agencies'
KARACHI:
The chief military spokesperson on Saturday said the business community’s cooperation was important for the progress of the country.
“As business and industries flourish, the country will move swiftly on the path of development and prosperity,” said Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor while addressing a ceremony ‘Shukriya Jinnah’ organised by the Sindh Rangers at Mazar-e-Quaid.
SITE Association chief Zubair Motiwala, President Sulaiman Chawla, Vice President Farhan Ashrafi and Executive Committee members Hussain Mohani, Abdul Hadi and Haris Shakur were in attendance.
The ISPR DG said, “God willing Pakistan will progress.”
On the occasion, VP Ashrafi paid tribute to the ISPR DG for their security and defence services, saying that Karachi’s businessmen were thankful to the Pakistan Army. “Now the businessmen are working without fear and danger and Karachi’s business community stands side by side with the army,” he said.
Ashrafi said the Sindh Rangers had given a “gift” to the people of Karachi by restoring peace, which “the business community appreciates”.
“Because of the law enforcement agencies, the business community of Karachi is safe."
“Holding of ‘Shukriya Jinnah’ event will boost the business community’s morale and send a message to the world that Pakistan, especially Karachi, is very conducive for investment,” said Ashrafi.
