A teenage girl and her cousin were gunned down by the girl’s brother on the pretext of karo-kari, in Gul Hassan Deenari village in Jacobabad on Monday.
The accused, Abdul Jabbar Deenari, suspected that his sister, Zarina, 17, and his cousin, Fauzia, 18, were involved with Mohammad Azam Deenari and Mohammad Nawaz Deenari.
Abdul Jabbar entered the house with a gun, when both the girls were washing clothes, and opened fire on them.
Both girls died on the spot and Abdul Jabbar fled. Abdul Jabbar then raided the houses of Mohammad Azam Deenari and Mohammad Nawaz Deenari and opened fire on them, but the men returned fire and Abdul Jabbar was forced to flee.
The Garhi Khairo police has sent the bodies to a Jacobabad hospital. The case has not been registered yet.
