Camping pods installed in Bamburet valley

K-P minister for tourism says facilities attract tourists to province

PESHAWAR: A number of camping pods have been installed at Bamburate in Kalash valley of Chitral to facilitate tourists during the upcoming tourism season in the province.

The provincial government has already installed the 2-4 beds camping pods in several tourist attractions, including Sharan in Kaghan, Thandiani in Abbottabad, Bishigram and Gabin Jabba in Swat, Yakh Tangai in Shangla and Sheikhbadin in LakkiMarwat.

The tourism department has already renovated camping pods and tent villages at the resorts renovated and opened for tourists.

K-P Senior Minister for Tourism Muhammad Atif Khan and K-P Tourism Corporation Managing Director Junaid Khan on Saturday said that the installation of camping pods and provision of other facilities including tent villages and parks attracted scores of tourists to the picturesque spots of the province.

They said the tourists from abroad and different parts of the country were visiting the scenic places in the province owing to the camping pods set up at the scenic spots.

K-PTC MD said the natural beauty and facilities were making the province a desirable destination for foreign and domestic tourists. A camping pod could accommodate 40 to 50 tourists at a time, which can avail every facility including security, play land for kids and kitchen at the pods.

Meanwhile, the locals and foreign tourists were enjoying various events of the ongoing Chawmoss festival in the Kalash Valley. the Kalasha people have until now celebrated several festivals as part of the Chawmoss festival that kicked off on December 7 and will conclude today on Sunday.
