Napa Theatre brings a powerful play, Urdu translation of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy, King Lear which is a depiction of power, greed and passion. An ageing Lear divides his kingdom between his three daughters, testing their love for him – a decision that leads to political chaos, familial betrayal and ultimately, madness.King Lear is a powerful production by legendary director Zia Mohyeddin with celebrated actor Khalid Ahmed in one of the greatest roles of classical theatre. We look forward to this unforgettable theatrical experience with outstanding cast that includes Khalid Ahmad, Mira Sethi, Paras Masroor, Nazr-ul-Hasan, Fawad Khan, Syed Meesam, Naqvi, Shabana Hasan and Nataliya Karanji.
