While addressing the oath taking ceremony of Hafizabad Press Club's newly-elected leadership, the PM's aide criticised the PPP for deposed corrupt political leadership which, she said, was making false narrative to mislead the nation.
"They only feel pain of poor masses when they are not in power. For them, common people means their dear ones and close aides. But, the real matter of concern is the looted money they have plundered from this country," said Dr Firdous in response to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari's remarks defining the vision of the PPP founder at the workers' convention in Quetta earlier in the day.
Bilawal slams ‘changing of CPEC route’
Targeting the top leadership of the opposition party, she said: "A politically immature party leader [Bilawal] was elaborating the political philosophy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in Quetta, claiming himself as Bhutto's successor."
The PM's aide added: "He [Bilawal] should realise that Larkana, the city of late Zulfikar Bhutto, has failed to provide medical relief to dog bite victims and the people of Thar are dying due to poor nutrition. If the Bhutto's ideology was alive then the plunderers of public money would have been behind the bars."
As if it was not enough, Dr Firdous further hit out at Bilawal saying that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah is real puppet head of the provincial government. "Prime Minister Imran Khan believes in meritocracy whereas the Sindh government leadership is totally controlled by the PPP top brass."
While talking about the opposition's popular rhetoric, she said: "Bilawal should know that umpire whom you refer in your speeches are the people who rejected your leadership in Larkana in the general election... the PPP chairman will have to remain in anxiety for the next four years."
The PM's aide also asserted that the masses would reelect Prime Minister Imran Khan.
"Your party [PPP] has been limited to a few districts in Sindh. You buried the ideology of Bhutto and revived the dogma of corruption which ultimately leads to the debacle of the PPP in the entire country."
While highlighting the 'sorry state of civic amenities' in the port city, she said, “Due to poor administration in Karachi during the past two decades' rule of PPP, the city has turned into Mohenjo Daro and dumping site.”
