Yasinzai expressed these views while talking to Atif Rana – owner of Lahore Qalandar, one of the franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) – and former cricketer and coach of the team Aaqib Javed who called on him at the Governor House in Quetta.
The governor laid stress on providing the youth with better facilities.
“It would not only enable them to showcase their talent but also brighten the name of the country at national and international level,” he said.
Both the cricket officials expressed their desire to the governor to establish a High Performance Centre in Quetta for the betterment of local players and organise a match between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars in the provincial capital.
The governor observed that there was no dearth of talent at the college and university level in the province and that there were grounds available in Quetta for holding cricket matches.
He assured both them of his full support and maintained that soon measures will be taken in this regard.
