Three held for robbing SP Bannu

Unidentified people posing as Islamabad Police Criminal Investigation Agency officials intercepted him in Sector E-11

ISLAMABAD: The Shalimar police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three people including a woman for robbing the family of an SP of Bannu police and recovered vehicle, wireless set and police lights from them.

Saddar SP Omer Khan said that Bannu SP Nisar Ahmed Khan had come to Islamabad along with his family in his vehicle (ICT-ALI-731) last month. Some unidentified people posing as Islamabad Police Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) officials intercepted him in Sector E-11.

First the imposters said they wanted to search the car but then they a pistol to the head of Khan’s wife and demanded all the money, jewellery and his pistol too.

Khan filed the case on November 30, 2019 under section 392/34 PPC at Shalimar police station.

SP Omer said that a team under his supervision investigated the case by using modern techniques and succeeded to arrest three people including a woman. APP
