PM Imran increases pay, perks of FIA personnel
Directs interior ministry to send summary for approval
ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday directed the interior ministry to send him a summary for approval of a request from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to bring salaries of its staff at par with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The request was conveyed to the prime minister by the newly-appointed director general of FIA, Wajid Zia during a meeting on Tuesday. Zia apprised the prime minister of the financial constraints facing the FIA.
He impressed on the prime minister that salaries of honest and able officers of FIA were incompatible with their counterparts in NAB.

Investigation allowance comprises 60% of basic pay, hardship allowance equals to the basic pay, grades on the pattern of NAB, DA at 25% of the basic pay, fixed daily allowance of 20% of basic pay for lower grade staff and 15% for officers of grade 17 and above.
