Assembly committee for action on GMC vice-dean

The provincial police department was asked to brief members about departmental SOPs of the force

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly’s Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures, Privileges and Government Assurances on Friday sought action against the Gomal Medical College Vice Dean Professor Amanullah for using vulgar language against members of the parliamentary standing committee on health. The committee met on Friday with K-P Deputy Speaker Mahmood Jan in the chair. The committee directed the health secretary to make sure that he attends the next meeting of the committee and inform the body about actions taken against Prof Amanullah. The committee further directed the health secretary to take action against the Charsadda district health officer for delaying the matter of staff shortage in different basic health units of the district. The body further directed the secretary to inform them about the action taken against the official in its next meeting.

The provincial police department was asked to brief members about departmental SOPs of the force.The meeting was attended by senior officials of the government.
