CM exhorts officers to ‘show seriousness’

Kamal reviews pace of progress on health, education and sports sector schemes

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Monday said the government officers should show seriousness along with the political leadership for changing the fate of the province. The latter, he added, was making all-out efforts for Balochistan’s development and prosperity.

He was presiding over a high-level meeting which continued for several hours.

The chief minister was briefed by the authorities concerned about the development projects included in the Public Sector Development Progarmme (PSDP) of 2019-20.

The meeting reviewed pace of progress on development schemes of health, education and sports sector.

The finance department, on the occasion, gave details about the funds utilised on the uplift schemes.

Finance Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Minister Health Mir Nasibullah Marri, Advisor on Sports to the Chief Minister Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Advisor on Secondary Education Muhammad Khan Lehri, Chief Secretary Capitan (retd) Fazeel Asghar, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Secretary Finance Noor-ul-Haq Baloch, Secretary Education Muhammad Tayyab Lehri and other officials attended the gathering.

While reviewing and discussing development programme, it was decided that after adopting a strategy for implementation on the uplift projects, work will be initiated for their timely completion. The CM warned that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
