QUETTA: Balochistan High Court has ordered the University of Balochistan (UoB) administration to take action against the people involved in the harassment of female students, in the light of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) report.

A divisional bench of the Balochistan High Court comprising Chief Justice Jamal Mandhokhail and Justice Abdullah Baloch heard the case of harassment.

The FIA submitted its hidden report on the UoB scandal during the hearing.

While appreciating the FIA report on UoB scandal, chief justice said the cameras in the varisty were installed for security purposes. If someone has misued it, he said, it is a crime.

“This is why when FIA felt something wrong in the usage of cameras, the agency recommended to take action against the people involved in it,” he said. “There is no evidence of installing cameras in the washrooms, but there were some cameras installed in some parts of the varsity without being granted the permission.”

The varsity administration has asked honorable court for time to take action against staffers of UoB involved in the scandal.

While giving time, the court ordered the varsity administration to present the report on December 18.
