6 Foods that fight iron deficiency

Depression, memory loss and weakness are all symptoms of iron deficiency

Entertainment Desk December 01, 2019

If you have been diagnosed with anaemia, it means that your body is deficient in iron. This happens when the haemoglobin level in the blood falls below the normal range and an individual’s red blood cell count becomes dangerously low. This is the main cause of concern for patients suffering from anemia. It is important to maintain the iron content in haemoglobin since the former is responsible for supplying nutrients and oxygen to all the cells in the body.

Some of the common symptoms of anemia and iron deficiency are depression, tingling sensation in the limbs, fatigue, memory loss and weakness. If you have been noticing any of these, you should immediately visit your doctor and get a blood test done. The main causes of anemia are deficiency of vitamin B12 or folic acid and iron. Compiled from Pinkvilla, here is a list of six superfoods you must include in your diet to fight blood-related deficiencies.
