Most recently, Hayat has decided to throw her weight behind the issue of cyber bullying and how it affects people around the world. The actor used a recent video of a group of girls enjoying themselves at a private gathering to make her stance on the matter clear. The video has been made secretly on a mobile phone camera and posted on the internet for everyone to see.

Hayat, upon catching wind of this, commented on the video, calling out the person who had shared it on Twitter. “It is a shame in today’s day and age that nowhere and nothing remains private. Let these girls have fun in the knowledge that they can do so in privacy without judgement,” she wrote.

Cyber-bullying and breached of privacy are common on the internet these days. While social media has raised awareness among the masses regarding their rights and the freedom of expression, it has also created a generation of trolls that post things just for the sake of ‘likes’ and retweets.
Luckily, Hayat recognises the self-righteous and holier than thou attitude posts such as these represent and isn’t afraid to call them out.
