ISLAMABAD: At least 17 investigation officers (IOs) of Islamabad police were issued warnings and transferred for showing poor performance.

The decision came during a meeting DIG Operations Waqaruddin Syed chaired to review performance of City Zone police and Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) at Rescue 15 office on Wednesday.

CIA Investigations SP Dr Saeed Mustafa Tanveer, Additional SP Syed Zeeshan Haider, City SP Mohammad Aamir Khan Niazi , SDPOs and SHOs of City Zone attended the meeting as well as all IOs.

Syed examined the performance reports turn-wise of all the officials after which he issued transfer orders of six IOs to another division over poor performance.

Eight IOs were issued warnings, while eight others were issued show-cause notices to justify their mediocrity in carrying out their tasks.
