The Engineering Development Board (EDB) on Friday released “Cost of Doing Business in Pakistan,” a booklet that contains basic business-related information. The 25-page booklet includes information on cost, pricing, tariff rates, cost of living and other factors that are relevant to business, officials said. The booklet is an effort to disseminate information needed by potential investors and businessmen starting from the first step of incorporating a company to the cost of human recourse, utilities, logistics and pricing of commodities, EDB CEO Aitazaz A. Niazi wrote in the booklet’s preamble. Officials said that copies of this booklet have been provided to Pakistani Missions and TradeOffices abroad and foreign embassies and Chambers of Commerce and Industry within Pakistan.
