Doctors told the CM that Raza’s condition is now stable and he will likely be discharged from the hospital today (Sunday).
Earlier, Shah also talked to Raza, assuring him that all possible measures will be taken to ensure that the culprits are brought to justice. Raza told the CM that he was settled in Canada and had come to Pakistan last year. “Now, I want to go back to Canada,” he said. At this, the CM asked him to stay back and assured him that “nothing will happen to him.”
Shah expressed grief over incident, saying, “It is unfortunate that your friend died and you sustained bullet wounds in police firing,” adding that the incident has left him shocked.
He said he has ordered an inquiry into the matter and the police officials who shot Raza and Hoodbhoy have been arrested.
“It is our responsibility to provide you justice,” Shah said.
