KARACHI: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) sealed two medical stores in Nazimabad on Friday and seized smuggled medicines.
Drug Inspector Tahir Khanzada and Abdul Rasool Shaikh said that the raid was conducted on a tip-off. They said that both the medical stores have been sealed and smuggled medicines have been taken into custody. Khanzada said that the shopkeepers were selling medicines of banned companies.
He said that samples of some medicines will be sent for laboratory tests, adding that legal action will be taken against the owners of the medical stores. The officials appealed the citizens to inform drug authorities in case they find illegal medicine being sold.
