Matches in northern areas postponed
According to Quetta’s match commissioner Mohammad Samad, some teams have requested the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) to postpone matches scheduled to take place in Chaman and Noushki till December to avoid travelling to the northern areas of the country in the first stage of the league.
“Pel and Pakistan Police have requested the federation to prevent travelling to northern areas,” Samad told The Express Tribune. “It can be tiring and we understand their concern.
“Therefore, these fixtures are now scheduled for December.”
However, Chaman-based Afghan FC captain Jadeed Khan expressed disappointment over the postponement. He said that all the matches are played on a home-and-away basis, but the postponement has forced his club to compromise when it is their turn to host a match.
