Sri lankan team attack: Terror suspects’ bail application accepted
Applications accepted against surety bonds worth Rs100,000 each.

An anti-terrorism court accepted on Friday bail applications of three men allegedly involved in the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore in 2009. The applications were accepted against surety bonds worth Rs100,000 each.
The application’s acceptance follows Malik Ishaq’s release from Kot Lakhpat jail on orders of the Supreme Court this Thursday. Ishaq is one of the founding members of the terrorist organisation Laskhar-e-Jhangvi as well as the key suspect in the Sri Lankan cricket team attacks.
The three accused named Javed Anwar, Abdullah and Ubaidur Rehman had been arrested from Shahdra. The Crime Investigation Agency police claimed that the men had confessed their involvement in the cricket team attack during investigation.
